Joseph Martin

Joseph Martin is a Policy Analyst at McWilliams Governmental Affairs Consultants.

Joseph grew up in a bilingual household, as his mother is from Puebla, Mexico and his father is from Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Rockwall High School and began his collegiate career at the University of Texas at Austin in the fall of 2020.

In his academic career, Joseph has been involved in Texas Creative, a prestigious creative portfolio program wherein he has honed his skills in art direction, copywriting, creative strategy, and communication at large. As an intern at IRSPROB.COM, a Dallas-based CPA firm, Joseph has gained experience working for organizations which represent clients before government agencies. Having served as an Opinion Columnist for The Daily Texan, the student newspaper at UT Austin, Joseph has written pieces on topics like campus life and current events. Joseph’s interest in public policy has led him to join MGA as a policy analyst, where he hopes to learn about how organizations and companies trigger change and progress at the higher legislative level.

In his free time, Joseph enjoys biking around Austin with friends, writing screenplays, bouldering, and reading about theology.
